Owning a holiday home in Plettenberg Bay gives you many years of fulfilled family holidays with memories that last a life time. You therefore need to enjoy every moment of your holiday and avoid “fixing“ hings or doing chores like cleaning and laundry. Your home also represents a significant financial investment which deserves to be looked after especially when you are not here. Plett is a magnificent location but it is “at the coast” and the coastal climate takes its toll on your home.

Bay Holiday Homes are recognised experts in looking after your home. Owners Eric and Yolanda make it their mission to look after your home like it is their own. We offer management packages to suit your specific needs.

The basic service includes a monthly visit by one of the owners. We use this visit to check the overall appearance of the home, test lights, and check for leaks or any other defects. Any faults noted are photographed and communicated to you for further instructions.

Are your water and or electricity meter not accessible by the municipality?. We will take a monthly electricity and water meter reading which we provide to the council on your behalf. We can receive your utility bill and ensure that it is paid on time.

We will also respond to any alarm signals from your home. Note that for after-hours call outs a fee may be charged. In the event of break-ins or other damage we will affect emergency measures to limit the damage and secure your home. In consultation with you we can open police dockets and manage the insurance claim. We may charge an additional fee if there are additional visits required to the home. In most cases these are covered by the insurance company.

Where outside contractors are needed to provide maintenance or repairs we can assist with obtaining quotes and provide you with before and after photo’s.

In cases where you have your own helper coming in to clean you home once or twice a month we will deliver her and open the home. When she is done we will collect her and ensure the home is properly alarmed.

In addition to the basic fee we offer additional service attracting a fee per event.

We can take care of the cleaning of the home, in most cases twice a month is sufficient as this will also ensure that the home is aired and any problems as quickly dealt with.

The purchase and supply of cleaning materials to be used in your home are charged at cost and delivered to your home. Need any other provisions in the home when you arrive? Send us your shopping list and we will gladly do this at a minimal fee.

Eric has a 30 year track record in the Pharmaceutical industry, working with just one of theTop10 Pharma companies. The last 12 years he worked as General Manager in The Philippines, Korea, South Africa and Morocco.

We can arrange for your DSTV to be switched on upon arrival and switched off when you leave.

A limited range of items like, baby chairs, additional TV’s and DSTV decoders, freezers ,Weber’s and beach equipment is available for hire.

Any other requests you have can be taken care of, please ask us so we can ensure that your home is looked after when you are not here and when you are here you do not need to lift a finger. We are here for you 24/7.
